Winter-swimming in blue hour

A good night sleep. And it has been quite a lazy sunday, a long walk with Nicke the poodle with hubby and our daughter. So icy ways in Tampere botanical garden, but is was nice to walk there after a long while anyway. Nicke the poodle came to stay with us for few nights, as our son will have some excursion for few days. It is good for him to go out and about for a while with his student friends!.ä

Later a Winter-swimming night. Just as the snow had thawn a little, more was delivered in the afternoon and in the evening.

At sauna we heard that the Monday 25.4.. will be the closing day of this particular Winter-swimming sauna in Kesäniemi, Veittijärvi. After that, during the spring and summer, this particular sauna will be moved and rebuilt to the other side of the lake. So the local new inhabitants of Kesäniemi will no longer be embarrassed by the antisocial group (or whatever the interpretation of us sauna visitors was :) ) that has been constantly driven on their home street as the sauna now has been in their neighborhood decades before they even got here.

Ukraine colors again in the blip, as the blue hour came and the light made nice yellow contrast into the pic. First of the refugees have been given apartments to stay, and some of them in Helsinki area have even found jobs already (as you can more easily use English as working language there) , but working permissions tend to be slow to arrange. And money given from the welfare system is too small to cope, so they need also basic food help from authorities. Also small children daycare has been slow to build up. I bet there is language barriers too... Anyway it has been nice to hear, how many of the ukrainian children already go to school and found friends too!

How I wish, the situation would get better in Russia! Top many innocent people suffer now.
