Summer Time Begins, Summertime Ends

The clocks have gone forward an hour, British Summertime has started. But the forecasters say that the warm weather we've enjoyed for weeks, is over, and it will snow later in the week.

Lots of families spent the day on the shores of St Mary's Loch, swimming, kayaking, paddleboarding, or just picnicking on the shore.

We took a picnic and found a quiet spot to enjoy it, and then walked a mile or two of the Southern Upland Way. 

This lovely place is about 20 miles from our home, up the Yarrow Valley, a wild and lonely place for the most part. In wet and windy weather it is a forbidding sight, but today it was most beguiling. 

And not so isolated that it doesn't boast a functioning public convenience. Whoever is in charge there has quite a way with a rhyme (last extra).
