View from the ridge of Schnapper Point in Kenepuru

The Other Half suggested that I take the pups for a walk up the newly cleared forestry track over on Schnapper Point on our piece of land. I wasn't too impressed with this idea, as there were things to catch up on after being out in town since Thursday & not getting back until last night. But after the comment "Well, if it's too much, forget it!"
Ok, boots and camera bag. Pups lead, and we are off in the boat. Got over there and discover I have left my cellphone behind. Anyway, it was decided that if I wasn't back at the jetty by the time he had to leave for his next pick up, he could come back and get us later.
It took 45 minutes up to the ridge. This photo was taken from there. (Got the big lens on as there was a Fantail flittering around in the tree we were standing under) The narrow piece of land that you can see, is known as the Portage Canal, as there was a cutting made through this narrow neck of land back in the early 1900's, so the row boats could go through there, and on up towards the Kenepuru Heads.
On Friday I took my younger son up to the hospital to get the operation on his knee. Hopefully, the reconstruction surgery on his knee heals well. He came off a motor bike in November and bent it sideways. Been in a brace ever since. Grrrr..... why so long?? Brought him back to his place on Saturday, and then drove back to the Sounds Saturday afternoon.
