Red shouldered hawk finding breakfast
After more than a year‘s absence, we finally made it back to the Lake Apopka Wildlife Drive this morning. We were rewarded with some great birding and also a sighting of a Godzilla gator… Biggest one we’ve ever seen. Check out the pictures in the extras… The (much) smaller alligator to the left of the photo is about the size we usually see!
We also went by the nursery department… I’m not sure why, but there were like seven nests of different species of birds in and around this one tree. The bigger shot is a great blue heron with its baby in the nest.
