Augers well
We got an electrician to quote to put lights into the “sleepers” in the new back yard. £450!
FFS.
So decided to DIY.
£40 on lights, £20 on RCD and timer and £30(!) on a drill bit.
Except that the drill bit was too big to go in the drill chuck and, even after finding adapters to make it fit, there was no way that the drill had enough torque. But it worked well if I used a spanner to turn it. The first hole took forever (30mm hole through 15cm of wood). Then I realised that I only need to drill about 3cm to fit the light and could drill a smaller hole for the wires. So that was easier. And easier by far when I realised that I could use a socket set to turn the auger (duh!).
