I wanna lay me down
We woke early today … got up and were delighted that we both felt well.
We headed into town got breakfast and took it to the allotment.
We weren’t going to do anything - we already decided that the Covid has left us so knackered we were going to do anything to push ourselves; so we just sat and enjoyed the bird songs and the sounds of people working away.
After allotment we went and got our shopping and then wandered over to the chemist to top up our supplies :)
Then we came home and planted. We planted and planted and planted. And we pulled seeds out of dead heads. Drank coffee and juice in the sunshine; and laughed back and forth with the kids on the phone.
We noticed little olives on the olive trees; beautiful blossom on the plum tree, and we harvested our first bamboo - how beautiful it that?
Later on we drove back into town to drop off a library book and then go and examine the new landmark in town.
Someone has erected a BIG WHEEL on the beach. We are a wee town nothing taller than four stories. This this is humongous!
It’s not going yet.. probably will have loads of tests to go through before it’s active but we enjoyed looking at all the people looking at it.
We sat on a bench, one of our favourite things to do - and watched the amazing hoards of people enjoying the unseasonably great weather.
We laughed as a lady came along with a massive budgie cage and sat it down beside her husband who was on the next bench. She has somewhere else to go - and left it with him. He pulled off his jumper and tried hard to cover it - how we laughed.
He said, people will think I’ve got a bird in there. Oh my heavens. They did! The laughs and the looks he was getting
And there was a little dog, perfectly lovely, but it was terrified By wheels. Every-time a skateboard, or a bike or a scooter woof woof woof woof . The doggies mum says that she was a rescue and it had been tied up outside school and a wee bad boy had driven over its tail with his bike :(
Then we sat a bit more; we contemplated an ice cream but we didn’t.
Then we came home, had a lovely dinner and now we are sitting terrifying ourselves with pieces of her.
