‘Sandbanks Revealed’
Another beautiful Saturday! Totally calm and with not a single cloud in the sky. An ideal day for parkrun along the prom!
The sea was totally calm too, and high tide was just a few minutes after we started. So the mile or so of sand between the old WWII defences, Cramond Island and the shore - visible when the tide is out - was totally covered by the glass-like sea.
I must have looked out across the Firth of Forth hundreds of times from this point at high tide, but it was the first time I’d seen the sandbanks!
While they’re probably new, the mirror like sea must have helped in their creation and in revealing them in all their glory!!
