Fred Williams

Out on the bikes this morning and we bumped into this lovely gent.

Fred was my first boss at the bike shop I worked at on Saturdays and then part time as a student. Great times in the end of the 90's

He is a bit of a legend in the world of British cycling and shops.

I've not seen him in a long time so was great to have a bit of a catch up, while he was out on his morning walk for the paper.

I became very good friends with his sons in particular Mike who still runs Fred Williams Cycles in Wolverhampton. I must catch up with him as he recently became a Grandfather.

In other news: The world lost the second best drummer there has ever been. RIP Taylor Hawkins.
