Black!

Took a wee tootle along to Tarbert village being as it was such a fine afternoon. All the usual eateries were full but found the one at the far end of town was quiet!
Never trust a place that's quiet I say! Everything was painted black, (note to self, we had been here before & it was not very good)  She saw me peering squinting at the menu and said " wer'e getting new ones next week, a different colour, so long as it's not black says I through gritted teeth. As it was after 2, there was limited grub available and it was all fish based and I hate fish! Himself ordered seafood chowder which when it arrived was swimming with the Green Giant corn!. I ended up ordering scones, plain ones but got fruit ones which when I opened it was steaming hot and the raisins almost burnt to a crisp ( maybe they wanted them to be black too) and my coffee while it looked warm was only lukewarm!  Two other ladies came in and asked did they have flavoured tea? Yes said the guy with an absolutely straight face, " we have tea that is locally foraged on Kerrera!!! i burst out laughing and himself tried to kick me ! The only foraging for tea Kerrera islanders do is across the water in Oban at Tesco. This poor assortment of food cost me many shekels! When we stepped out into the daylight, it was so blindingly bright, I almost got hit by a car passing by as I never saw it , having just come  out of the gloom into the light. This sort of stuff might be ok in  inner London but not downtown Target Loch Fyne! I won't be going back!
