Birds for my Brother

I heard that my brother is nuts about my bird blips... well, I think it may have been more like, "she blipped another bird?"... He's a supporter, really, I just like to tease him as much as he teases me.

But, yes, another bird blip. My goal was to get something else (actually that's been my goal for days now). Maybe I should try a little reverse phycology and set a goal to get a bird blip. Could be that I just have trouble meeting my goals... Or it could be that I really like birds these days. ;)

This dove pair even scooted together for me, so I could get a nice shot of the two of them. How could I resist? It seems that the one on the right is trying to dry out his feathers. Can't blame him, it's been non-stop rain or snow for days. I don't know how birds (or any wild animal) can do it. I went on a blip hike earlier today, around the lake, and found this robin enduring the storm. Eventually, I cut the trip short as a blizzard set in and I was soaked! Fortunately, the heavy snow only lasted a few hours, then we went back to nice grey skies and light snow. (I'm sort of getting used to it and going with the flow...)

It was a relaxing Saturday afternoon around here. A good day to get a ton done around the house and cook some chili for dinner. Tonight I think I may delve into some Lightroom 4 tutorials. I have some basics down but I am dying to dig below the surface!

Edit: Awww Jeez... look who decided to visit after I went on and on about only seeing birds.
