Skimmia

I bought a Skimmia for winter colour late last year and it’s been looking lovely in the arrangement of pots outside the front door. There were lots of tight red buds on it all winter but these have gradually lightened in colour and are now opening into a mass of tiny flowers - marvellous!

Last day of work for a week - I’m off for a four night walking holiday next Tuesday. It’ll be good to have a break.

We finally got an offer on mum’s house today - it’s early days but we were beginning to give up hope of ever selling it, and it’s not cheap keeping an empty house! My fingers are very firmly crossed now but I know how tricky property transactions can be.
