First swan photos this year...

...were taken today, even though it's almost two weeks since they came around. I have seen them mostly briefly in the air so far, but today there were two on the field behind the cowshed, where they had found something to eat in the thawed area around the rocks and trees.

The morning was rainy, but the weather cleared at lunch time and I gathered some firewood in the afternoon. We had a harvester doing some thinning a couple of weeks ago, and the wood I'm gathering are the tops of the cut trees.
