Hovers that Hoover.
The hoverflies only live for a few days or weeks at most, but are known as the farmer's friend. They are amazing pollinators, second only to the wild bee, and in many cases their larvae absolutely love the aphids.
Some even lay their eggs in bees nests but, rather than become a pest themselves, the larvae hatch to become mini hoovers, cleaning up debris from the nests before hovering away.
