Burning leaves

After preparing the bread, I had time for a longer walk this morning so I walked onto the ridge between the two valleys. I finished this week’s painting and prepared a canvas for next week in the afternoon. The one I have blipped shows the annual clearing of the riverbed so that no dams of debris form. Such dams can cause catastrophic flooding. Generally bushes and trees growing on the bed are cut back and the leaves burned.
