Black Tulip
JJ and I parked by the canal this morning and walked up through Campbell Park to John Lewis for tea and a Pain au Chocolate. Then a slow amble back enjoying the sunshine, birdsong and tranquility.
This afternoon has been taken up with finishing a book called "The Catch" (unputdownable) and grass edging in the front garden. Tonight we are going to the local pub for dinner with our local friends.
The tulips are in a state of decay.
Something that dawned on me this morning as we came back from MK was that none of the laybys we pass are close to the footpath signs that head off across the fields. I wonder why, when the footpaths would have been there before the laybys were put in.
