Great Blue Heron

I'll be heading back to VT in less than a month.  I want to spend some time this spring painting with my friend Debra.  I'm adding this heron portrait to my must paint file.  
I kayaked with some friends yesterday, one visiting from Montreal.  He asked me to snap a photo of the heron for him.  I sent him the straight shot and messed with this one to make it paint worthy.
