Full stretch

Another lovely day, and another late afternoon walk - the Humbleton round. We'd intended to go sightly further, but spent so long chatting to a couple of acquaintances on the way up to the Common, then watching this little guy, that time ran out.

One of my favourite trees as an extra, in honour of Joe Tree, without whom none of us would be here.
It's a lone hawthorn, on an exposed hillside, leaning in the direction of the  predominant wind.
