The Dome
Everton 2 QPR 0
Relief to get 3 points from a team that beat us at Goodison last season -and it's always good to spoil old saggy-face's day!
Pretty much what I expected today, huff and puff without much end product, but a deflected goal and Victor being in the right place -and on his feet- at the right time gave the Blues a deserved victory. QPR never really looked like scoring and surely now looked doomed to relegation...well what do you expect when you employ a manager who claims to not even be able to use email.
As many plaudits and adulation that David Moyes gets as Everton manager he still hasn't achieved the most important thing, a trophy!
This man however won the lot* as Everton manager.
I was walking along Goodison Road before the match when I spotted Howard Kendall -affectionately known as The Dome to Evertonians, for obvious reasons- sauntering in the opposite direction and asked if I could get a picture, "Not sure it's worth it but course you can lad."
An absolute Everton legend, especially if we ignore his managerial returns.
*maybe not quite the lot but; League Championship, FA Cup, Charity Shield, and European Cup Winners' Cup is still a fair amount!
