Safer bus stops

My friend Claire has got involved with a campaign to make bus stops in Southampton safer for women and girls. Especially for people using buses when it’s dark and where the bus stops are in poorly lit areas. The person who started the campaign, Becky, led a deputation to Southampton City Council meeting today and I joined in the gathering of people outside and went into the Council meeting to hear them speak. We will now await developments. Claire asked me to take some photos, I liked this one with Claire waving her placard with gusto!
