Audubon Exhibition
A trip into town today to meet up with my mates. Eric and John. We visited the Audubon exhibition in the Museum of Scotland. Audubon is a famous American bird painter who came to Edinburgh early on in his career and his reception here by ornithological societies and scientific institutions helped to launch his career as One too the most famous American wildlife painters. His prints are nearly always life size and amazingly detailed. The exhibition was very imaginatively presented with prints , stuffed examples of some of the species he recorded and interactive screens. He was a bit of a larger than life character and this exhibition showed all his qualities, warts and all. It was also so good to see that the museum is now encouraging photography., so I offered no apologies for showing somebody else's creativity.
