Alternative worlds
Every day I inhabit several of them. Or so it seems. If the world is created inside our head then it is definitely true. Reflections, as Lord Peter Wimsey once said, are like bells and cats and a bit spooky in that respect (although he spoke of mirrors rather than still waters). This reflection made me think about other worlds;, other days ...
In terms of productivity today was a disaster. Too many distractions, such as Dylan having to go to the vet (been in a fight and had to have his ear seen to), and Dylan escaping (there was a hole in the security system - now fixed). I shall catch up over the weekend if necessary.
The Ukraine disaster hit the buffers of the chancellor's budget statement today. We're in for a rough few years. Inflation is at a staggering (for the UK) 6.7%. The Office for Budget Responsibility still thinks that Brexit will cause our trade balance to fall by 15%. And Boris Johnson is still a lying turd that seems impossible to flush.
Six years ago today my blip

ended on a sad note as I reflected on man’s inhumanity to man. Plus ca change.
But not to worry, our new local shopping centre opened today. It's very nice and there were hordes of excited consumers (myself included) trying to work out how everything fitted together (it does, and quite cleverly). Nice but it is only a shopping centre. And it is no greener than any other consumer led project.
I must keep working on the alternative realities as this one isn't working out too well...
