The Gardener's Year

Today's my birthday and my husband gave me this great book - a funny and poetic account of gardening throughout the year. 

It's called The Gardener's Year and this birthday is a new start for me - a new decade that will mark a new career as I'm retraining to become a professional gardener and add horticultural translation to my fields of expertise for my freelance work.

I love this opening paragraph:
"There are a hundred ways to create a garden for yourself but the best one is to get yourself a gardener".
