Tried the new lens out on night shots. The picture quality seems very good, but the street lights produced a little too much lens flare on some shots. This is because the standard lens hood on this (newer) version of the lens is not as big as the one on the older version which I used to have. The older lens hood was huge, this one is just a tiny thing.
