Bargain day

Not a bad day today - sunny most of the time and no wind, which is good. After taking Mrs M to the station - she'll be away for a couple of days - I went to the distillery, hoping to meet someone who could tell me about the ownership of the land up behind the buildings, where all the litter gets chucked from Jacob's Ladder. Met a very friendly Site Manager who seemed very amenable so I hope that something can be done.

Next went to Homebase where they're selling off all their flowering bulbs at half price. One of the best was a lovely tub of Narcissus ‘Tête -a-tête’, probably some 50 bulbs all in flower. I've often wondered why so many of this variety are single-headed, when the name suggests that they should be double-headed - this lot had one or two double and several triples!

Spent the rest of the day planting pots and various other plant-based stuff!
