White Tailed Eagle

An early morning walk before heading home found us amongst some scrubland. Our attention was initially focused on some small birds high in a tree.

A lucky look round brought this magnificent bird into view.  The light at the time was poor and I couldn't make out exactly what was before us. It wasn't until we got the photos on the computer and had the opportunity to check the birds' ID did I find out it is most likely a White-Tailed Eagle.

This is a WOW moment in my photography life.

A little research shows the bird may have come from the Isle of White as part of a bird of a release program over there.
