Of course, you have to RTFM when the male idiocy on these things gives way to common sense. After that, it was plain sailing.
After taking 10 weeks to get rid of the old provider the new company came and installed the new security system. They removed all the "other" guys equipment and installed new, the two systems were not compatible.
So the recycling now has a bit more gold to process from the discarded parts.
