Narcissus

In English speaking countries rather called daffodil, but in German Narzisse and in Dutch (gele) narcis, so both closer to the Latin name.
Anyway, I saw this bundle of wild daffodils in the middle of nowhere, whereas I normally see them in gardens and parks.
Something I learned today, because I wondered about how a bulbiferous plant survives, is that they do have contractile roots, that pull the bulb down further into the soil, where it is better protected!!
