A little bit irritated!

We were supposed to be in Whitby with the caravan for the weekend, but are still at home!

Got the caravan loaded, food in the fridge, clothes in, bedding all sorted as it was the first trip away this year.

Dragged it out of the storage barn , hooked it up to the car and…..
No electrics working. The tow bar on the new car had some work done to it since we last towed ( in simple terms so it could tow a caravan rather than just a trailer). When we bought the car this piece of the tow bar was not available in the country. Anyhow to cut a long story short, the caravan lights worked fine on two other cars we tried, and a trailer bar didn’t work with our tow bar. Quickly drove to Kia in Bradford, who checked it with the tester needed for an MOT and that was all OK, but agreed with us once they tried it with a trailer bar that it didn’t work. It is now booked in to the garage on Wednesday, the caravan is back in storage, the fridge contents are back in our house and 5 hours after setting off for the weekend we are back home , having been no further than Bradford.

We are not exactly happy, but on the upside the hellebore in our garden looks lovely!
