Spring squill

There’s been a great patch of Spring squill, Scilla verna, at the top of the drive ever since we moved here. I think it gets a little bigger each year, and is looking particularly good at the moment. I spotted some of my honeybees feeding on it this morning.
We went for a load of horse manure which Rob barrowed up to his newly mattocked area, so I will plant some veg in it. I think it’s a bit fresh so maybe some brassicas would do ok. The ground is nice and dry at the moment so I’m trying to get weeding done!
