Sunday lunch

Leaving church this morning I noticed the flower tubs outside the door had filled out and looked very pretty in the sunshine.  The organist had told me not to sit too close as he had tested positive for Covid last Tuesday!  He wouldn’t answer when I asked if he had had the 2 negative tests since then - I’ll take that as a no then!  Most people who have been infected don't seem to know where they have caught it, so it is a bit of a lottery really.  Another bright sunny day, but the breeze was a little chilly again. Straight from church to my friend’s house and we went up to the next village to have lunch at “Spoons”.  Huge bowl of chicken and mushroom soup which was very tasty.  Home late afternoon to sort some paperwork as I have just noticed an error from a company which took over an old private pension of mine. Originally I was due to claim my pension from them at 60, but a mix up when they contacted me whilst I was abroad, and then denied they had telephoned me, then led to me telling them to leave it until I was state pension age at 66.  That should have been 2023, but I have just received a benefits update from the new company which states my pensionable age as 2032!  Hmmm! Letter and evidence going their way!  Just heard several more of the village panto cast and stage crew have tested positive for Covid, so next week’s performances are in doubt.  It is to be hoped that none of the audiences have been infected too!
