Edge of the Trees
Where once a house stood
now trees whisper in shadows
between the sunlight.
Installation by Janet Lawrence on the site of First Government House. Sandstone, wood and steel. Engraved names of people and places, animals and plants. Inset with shells, pipe clay and honey. Recordings in Gadigal language.
Always happy wandering in the city. Chanced upon a photographic exhibition, chatted with a homeless bloke about Tracey Emin’s bird sculptures (extra), took a pic of hoardings (2nd extra).
Haiku written to order by Mr SF.
Thanks for hosting KangaZu.
