Rievaulx

A second and rather eventful day of orienteering. A tough physical Forest with quite a lot of climb. Richard took a tumble hitting his head. His glasses cut into his nose and took some skin off the top of his head. However he completed his course and avoided concussion. It looked a lot more dramatic than it was in reality. After cleaning him up the injuries were superficial. Just hope they heal before the wedding in a couple of weeks.

We decided to stop off on the way back to give Jet a walk. Rievaulx Terrace was closed so we dropped down to the abbey. It was looking at its best in the sunshine. We didn’t stop long before heading home for a well deserved cuppa.
