So busy

Some lovely views down by Derwentwater this morning, but it was far too busy - so many people, so many dogs, so many canoes. Fortunately I was not in Keswick for the views, but for a quick return visit to Words by the Water. An excellent talk by Fiona Sampson , based on her book Two Way Mirror: The Life of Elizabeth Barrett Browning. 

Meanwhile Gordon went off to climb Latrigg (also very busy). Then we hastened away to go home for lunch. Our village was full - cars and people everywhere. At our house it was peace and quiet.
