Arachnophobia

On the last day of our holiday, we stopped off at the Butterfly and Insect World just outside of Edinburgh.

When we got there a handling session was going on, which included handling a Chilean rose tarantula.

I am terrified of spiders, however the staff worked with me for several minutes and in the end I was able to let one of them sit on my hands. I was terrified, and put to shame by Erica, Katie, and Audrey who took it in their stride.

I can't thank the staff enough, for helping me on the first step to getting over my fears.
