On top of our world.

What a gloriously sunny day we have been treated to today. We have walked up to a viewing point which overlooks a frozen lake on one side and the Angerman River on the other side, which is still mainly frozen although we could see the striking blue of the open sea in the distance.
All this frozen land is so fascinating to our British eyes. We are soaking up as much of the wild beauty as we can before heading home.
All week, the bird song has been gaining volume, we have watched woodpeckers squabbling , swans flying northwards high over head and various smaller birds flitting from tree to tree . It will be interesting to see how busy and noisy the birds are when we get back to our patch of the planet.
Last night we found that one of our flights had been cancelled and that we would be having a very long wait at Oslo airport . This morning Dave managed to get us a place on a flight from Stockholm. We still have an extremely early flight and a 9 hour wait but only two flights instead of 3.
Now to have our evening meal and catch up with all your weekends .
