EG I - Carnage

Too much going on currently, hence comments off temporarily; late I know.

Gig Review
Stormin gig at The Bodega tonight, headlined by Enola Gay. It more than matched the rave live reviews and praise from the likes of Iggy Pop and Steve Lamacq.

They're Belfast-based Irish noise-punk 4-piece formed in late 2019 with hip-hop-inspired vocals, drawing on left-field electronica and techno and post-punk of the late 70s. Otala (Irish) and Yabba (Nottingham) were a similar style and excellent too.

For the avoidance of doubt, they're anti right wing/ fascism. Their opening set track was Salt which has a Margaret Thatcher sound-alike voice over with the words swapped in a famous anti miner speech she made.

"Where there is harmony, may we bring discord
Where there is truth, may we bring error
Where there is faith, may we bring doubt
And where there is hope, may we bring despair
And where there is hope, may we bring despair"

Extras
The "comic strip" extras show two Otala members on stage with Enola Gay and the liveliest most fun and friendly mosh pit I've seen for many a year.

Family
My daughter and The King came over in the morning. We had lower key fun, as he was clearly quite unwell. He enjoyed a trip round to the church on his hobby bike, but needed carrying back and was sick just from eating some raspberries.
