Watering the blueberries

Today I was blessed with visitors.  Hikaru and I have met up with each other regularly in different countries around the world in various robot competitions since 2007.  So it was lovely to invite him and his wife Mirai to spend the day here.  They have been living in London for several months, but this was the first time they had been invited into a private home and Mirai enjoyed exploring the kitchen.  
The weather was glorious, so after lunch we walked through the woods to the allotment, where Mirai showed off her watering skills.  Lots of discussion about the differences between allotments, gardens, small holdings, farms and kitchen gardens.
We made cheese scones on our return (a joint enterprise) and I introduced them to marmite.
