Circus of wonders

I brought the book home already a while ago. I read a few pages. Another book needed to be read first. TV and work and walks interfered with reading time. Yesterday I started over. And today I finished the book, reading all day. Unable to put it down.

Here's my review:
Another good read by Elizabeth Macneal. Again set in the 19th century. Regaling about a freak show. But not just freaks on display. Each person with different looks is a performer as well in a freak circus. Together they're a family. Led by two brothers.

A book that brings alive the time and place and happenings. But also thrilling with the feeling of something bad about to happen hovering about all the time.
