A Bird too Far
I found this male Red-winged Blackbird (Agelaius phoeniceus) at the top of a very tall pine tree singing with a great deal of enthusiasm. He would flare his tail feathers each time he sang, and I wanted to capture this behavior. Unfortunately, he was way beyond the normal reach of my lens, so I used the digital zoom feature knowing that this would sacrifice image quality. It sure did, but I am satisfied with the image anyway. It will remind me of the day that I had the privilege to hear this bird sing the song of his people.
