THE CODLIN MOTH CATERPILLAR

We have a huge pear tree absolutely laden this year. Its a winter pear but when the codlin moth gets in it ripens the fruit early so this one was found in a pear I was about to eat. The main picture shows the cat.pillar making good its escape and the extra shows it about to do so from the full pear.
