Shotover wander

A lovely spring morning for a wander in Shotover Country Park - good to go a bit further afield than I’ve been able to manage recently. Rewarded with wonderful wildflowers now in bloom - lesser celandine, forget-me-not, wood anemone, primroses and speedwell- plus muntjac deer, brimstone and small tortoiseshell butterflies. We also saw a male bullfinch in this Wild Plum (or Cherry Plum) tree, the first one I’ve seen in ages.
