Peacock butterfly

A glorious day of weather!  And it lured me out for another little local walk, of the slow and flat variety!

Went to Benfleet Downs which is always my go go place at the height of butterfly season, and it's nice to be there at the start of it too! i wasn't disappointed although many of the peacocks and small tortoiseshell I saw were resting higher up on various trees!  But this one did oblige and I was very grateful!

And it seemed to put me in a productive mood for when I got back as i've been ticking jobs off the to do list - maybe I'm just trying to get them all done today so I can spend more time in the garden over the weekend!
