COACHING MYSTERY

Grand start to the day with a pair of woodies knocking on the trees within long sight.
My Blip today . . . tis a mystery . . .  it looks like part of a Railway Coach to me. Clearly it has a special function and maybe for Engineers use . . . any help / knowledge / hints appreciated. You can coach me in Railway History. Stay safe everyone !
