Love & Confection

The second souvenir from my railway journey last weekend; an old Cadbury's advert for Bournville cocoa. Of course, since Birmingham's most famous and celebrated export was sold down the fucking river treated to a happy, friendly merger with our benevolent transatlantic cousins Kraft, this sweet depiction of childhood is no longer entirely relevant. In its place, they're going with the catchier slogan "HEALTH IS SLAVERY. CHOCOLATE IS LIFE. STUFF YOUR HOLES WITH BOURNVILLE, OBESE MINIONS."

What it lacks in innocence, it makes up for in honesty.
