More Castle Views

Thank you everyone for the super reaction to my milestone blip yesterday, it has been sitting in pole position on the popular page all day!

Today the weather played nicely…it stayed dry, although there was quite a stiff breeze in the morning.

We called at a small cafe near Embleton for coffee and cake, which we were able to sit outside for! We then walked along the coast path to Dunstanburgh Castle, which is a bit less intact than Lindisfarne Castle I blipped a couple of days ago. Some more views in extras 1 & 2.
 
Walking back along the beach we were entertained by some groups of Sanderlings (extra 3) who were rushing back and forth up the beach ahead of the waves of the incoming tide. The sun came out early afternoon and it was really warm.

Despite the yo-yo weather we have had a good walking week…clocking up 20 miles in four days so far. Heading home tomorrow, so not sure if there will be time for one last throw for the boots!
