Enraptured by the surf

After a holiday photographing in places sparsely populated (and we tried to avoid having people in the pictures) it was a contrast to end the week at the seaside. St Bees sea front was not particularly busy, but families were out in the sunshine, enjoying the last afternoon of half-term holiday: people!

These children just loved being caught by the dramatic splash of the waves. Soon they were thoroughly wet - but innocently lifted up in the moment.

We are all homeward bound now... may we be so joyful at home.
