Beautiful to the last.....

The beautiful tulips a friend gave me last Friday have gradually opened during the week. Now the petals are almost transparent and the stamens are dropping thousands of little black specks of pollen. I think tomorrow the petals will begin falling. They have lasted well and been wonderful to see each day.

We managed to avoid most of the heavy showers today, happy to spend a little longer inside the shops 'til they passed. No hurry...A good day.
