The worst photo I have ever posted
I had to go to A & E yesterday and needed a drip with antibiotics. It was running too slowly and I pointed it out to a passing nurse (they just set things up and then dash off to other patients). He said he would speed it up, adjusted it, and disappeared, without checking that it was speeded up. It wasn't. I looked down and saw my blood in the tube. I called another nurse and she said it had happened because I had bent my arm at the elbow. But the nurse who set it up didn't bother to tell me that I must keep my arm straight!
I came into A & E just before 8pm last night and left at 3 am. It was a night of horror. If I described it all it would almost make a book, so I won't. The taxi home cost £60! (a friend had driven me there but could not wait 7 hours!) There was no choice of taxis because that was the only company in the area operating a 24 hour 'service'.
The driver wore no mask and didn't have a screen between himself and the back passenger seats. He boasted that he had caught Covid 4 times, even though triple vaccinated. I wonder why?
I have written a complaint to the taxi company - which included the above but also the fact that although my injured hand was bandaged he made no effort to help me open the heavy sliding door in the taxi.
So this is the worst photo I have ever posted but I need it here for my own record!
