On the way home

People are just single bricks. But put them together and you make a house. Put them together and you build Jerusalem.

Just been to see ‘The Duke’. What a wonderful, feel-good kind of film. Excellent acting by Jim Broadbent and Helen Mirren. Funny, sentimental, old-fashioned, but ultimately a fine film, well worth seeing.

And the evocation of 1961 is cringingly good. The first record I ever bought was Adam Faith’s ‘What do you want?’ Now it’s going round in my head.
