Recording the Ballad of Check Harra

This is Andy Clark, a fantastic Scottish actor who recorded a short story for me today.

"The Five of Spades" by George Mackay Brown is a great yarn set in the 1800s and tells the adventures of a gambling addict from a small Orkney community. His love of card games leads him into trouble and far from home (including 24 lashes for insubordination, killing a giant whale in the Arctic and marrying and raising a family with an inuit woman). Great stuff. Andy brought his guitar along to sing the 'ballad of Check Harra' which appears towards the end of the story.
